Plus Size Store Review: Lane Bryant
Lane Bryant is probably one of the most well known names in plus size fashion apparel. If I had to guess, they have been around the longest amount of time. Lane Bryant offers their plus size clothing in local stores as well as online. I have shopped and purchased plus size clothing at the Lane Bryant store near my home and online at their internet storefront. I have found that their online store has a little better selection of styles and sizes and is about 10%-15% cheaper than shopping in the store. That’s just my personal experience.
You can shop for plus size clothing by tops, bottoms, suits, activewear, swimwear, dresses, outerwear, maternity, and intimates, which is really just lingerie. As far as sizing, most plus size clothing from Lane Bryant comes in size 14 through 28. They also offer a pretty good Bridal Boutique, where you can shop for plus size wedding dresses. Lane Bryant also has something new that is called “Right Fit”. They have come up with better fitting jeans that more match your personal body shape and type. Based on your measurements, you fit into one of the three types, “Straight”, “Moderately Curvy”, or “Curvy”. Once you know your type, you can then select that type when shopping for pants or jeans. My sister-in-law found her type and purchased a pair of stretch classic jeans and is very happy with the fit.
It looks like I am “Moderately Curvy” based on my measurements. Maybe I need to purchase some jeans to see how they fit, although I am more of a dress girl. I really do like shopping at Lane Bryant. I used to shop at LaneBryant all the time. I wasn’t that internet friendly so I had only been in their stores and never at their online store. After a lot of learning, I started looking at the internet store and stopped shopping at the local store all together. I noticed the prices online were a little better than in the store and I could usually get my clothes shipped for free. No reason to go in the store anymore since I know my size and I know what brands fit.
